Turquoise

Getting way
past supper time.
You arrive at last
looking sorry,
but you need not be.
I kept your plate warm.
I could wait for you
an eternity,
as long as it ends
with me by your side.
A long day it was.
Now I fed you
and you feel fine
and that fills the house.
Witness of our bliss,
Turquoise reigns.
Color of the valley jewel,
bred by the bathing star.

Familiar

After she milked him

She told him there was no cookie left

Frustrated after his long night shift

He shove the tree up the chemney

The sap boiled and dripped

and the house blazed up in smoke

They with it were consumed

They were husband and wife I presume

Hush that much

It is dark and your eyes are closed

You cannot see my bedtime smile

but in the warmth of my soft scent

you inhale what I earn to say

My voice fills your tired body

Your heart floods your consenting mind

with the loving verses of life

Such is a much busy dreamy night

Landings

When the sun is gone

and my love lies down

the time is right and

I am up for contemplation

As I scrutinize my eyelids

from within my captive mind

moire and darken mauves

soothe my cuddled soul

A hand resting on my side

another nesting in mine

I see beyond dreams’ landings

capture the truth in Lalaland

Sweet

From your sweet lie

I draw a poem

and in your palm

I let it lie
